VISIT US

OH-Sept-to-Dec-2010

Come and visit us! A warm welcome awaits you at Open House at St George’s Holborn!

St George’s Holborn, an early Georgian church of historical and architectural interest, is situated in Queen Square, a busy part of central London. We are located close to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital. Our large and varied community includes both local residents and people who work in Holborn, or those who are just visiting the area for the day, be they tourists, retired people or students.

Each Tuesday and Thursday (during term time), between 12.30pm and 5pm, signs are put up outside the church saying that the church is open and welcoming people to come in. A team of Open House volunteers is on hand to offer tea, coffee and biscuits and time for a chat. Alternatively, visitors are welcome to sit quietly in church for personal reflection, some ask to be prayed for, or to discuss matters of faith and others want to talk about whatever is on their hearts and minds at the time.
