THE BESOM
At St. George's we are regularly involved in Besom projects. The Besom helps people make a difference. It provides a bridge between those who want to give time, money, things or skills and those who are in need. It ensures what is given is used effectively. The service it provides is free.
Through The Besom, St George's are given the opportunity to reach out into the local community and help others in practical ways.
Recent projects have included helping to build a nursery, painting the homes of single parents, refugees and families living in shabby, run-down housing and after hours helping at The Besom warehouse.
We have our own Besom team at St George's: Emma, Anita and Justice. If you would like to be involved in future Besom projects please speak to one of them or contact the church office.
