STUDENTS

Students, Welcome to St George's!

St George’s is located near UCL, LSE, KCL, SOAS, RVC and many other London universities and as such has a wide mix of students at the church. You will find there is plenty to get involved in and we hope that you feel at home here. Students tend to go to the evening service on Sundays at 6pm because of the more contemporary music style (and because it’s not in the morning). We invite you to come and meet us and see what we do!

What: Central to our student group is studying the Bible together. We begin each meeting by sharing a simple meal together and having a time of worship. Praying for one another is also an integral aspect of home group life.

Why: To allow students to explore and be trained up in the Christian faith. University is a time when we are faced with new challenges and questions that may make us think about faith or question our existing faith. The student group is a place where together we seek to understand what the Bible says about God, life and the questions we are facing and help us apply it to our lives.

Life of the church

At St George’s students play have the opportunity to really get involved in the life of the church as it serves the local community. Over the past few years students have helped run the children’s and youth work on Sunday mornings and the mid-week youth club, they’ve joined the welcome team or helped out on the sound desk for Sunday services, joined the music band or have taken part in and led social action projects in the local community.
